Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19). From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.
Every gift box / hamper will be delivered in our protective packaging to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition. Our gift boxes / hampers are made to order by our dedicated team.
We dispatch all mainland UK gifts on a 24 hour service. (Exceptions may apply)
We package all our cheeses within a thermal envelope with an ice pack to keep the cheese as fresh as possible during transit.
We ask our customers to confirm a preferred delivery date. Every attempt is made from Handmade-Hamper.co.uk to ensure delivery is made on the requested day, however this is not a guaranteed date.
As we currently use an external delivery company, it is out of our hands if delivery is not made on the preferred date. We do advise the company of the preferred delivery date, and every effort is made to keep to this date. Text and email notifications are sent by the courier if any delays are expected.
We do offer an interactive delivery update on the delivery day. This notification provides a one hour time slot for the customer. DEtails are requested within our checkout page. Please omit the recipients mobile number if you wish for the gift to remain a surprise.
It is not the responsibility of Handmade-Hampers Ltd to contact the recipient to arrange a date and time for deliveries. If you have received a ‘sorry we missed you’ card from the delivery company, please liaise directly with DPD to re-arrange a more suitable date for delivery.
Standard delivery is based on a Monday to Friday service at £6.95. We are now able to offer delivery on Saturday and Sunday at £9.95. Further timed delivery slots are detailed on the checkout page.
Whilst we endeavour to arrange delivery on your preferred date chosen, deliveries to remote areas, Scottish Highlands, Islands or to lower areas such as Devon and Cornwall may incur additional delivery time so please bear this in mind when choosing your preferred date.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer delivery to the Channel Islands.
Please note that delivery dates may be affected by adverse weather conditions. While every attempt will be made to ensure the gift arrives on the preferred date, sometimes this may not be possible.
We will deliver to the address as you enter it and cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect or incomplete. If you are not sure of the address we would recommend you check before proceeding with your order. An additional postage fee of £6.95 will be applicable if the item is returned due to the address being incorrect. Unfortunately you will not be entitled to a refund if this is an error on your part.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday. This is standard delivery for in stock items. Handmade-Hampers Ltd are currently using DPD for deliveries.
Hampers and gift boxes: £6.95 per delivery address, Monday to Friday. Weekend delivery is £9.95. We do offer additional timed slots at checkout.
Delivery will be attempted at the stated address, however if we are unable to obtain a reply at this address, the gift may be left with a neighbour, in a safe place or taken back to the depot. A card will be left at the recipients address advising of the gifts location and how to contact to rearrange a further delivery attempt.
Delivery will be attempted twice at the recipients address before being returned to us as sender. A calling card will be left at the recipients property if the courier is able to gain access to a letterbox. If the gift is returned to us, a further fee of £6.95 will be incurred to resend the gift to the recipient or to an alternative address. Handmade Hampers are not responsible for the condition of the gift contents. Please bear in mind that if you order a cheese gift, it is perishable. Whilst we take every effort to keep the gift cool in transit, this is only for a maximum of 48 hours, from being dispatched.
If the gift is returned to us, we will make every effort to contact the sender with re-delivery options, if the sender chooses not to respond to us the gift will be destroyed after 30 days.
We will endeavour to deliver your hamper or gift on the date you have specified. However, once the item has been dispatched by us, we are reliant on the delivery company to keep to the time schedule. Unfortunately , they do sometimes run a little late or as we have recently found, a day early! so please bear with us or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to chase up delivery if you are unable to reach us on 01642 285468.

We will send an email via DPD to confirm when they have the gift within their delivery system to the purchaser. DPD will also send a text notification on the day of delivery with a one hour delivery slot.
We are unable to guarantee breakfast hampers will be delivered on a morning delivery, using the standard delivery service. Every attempt will be made to request this on your behalf from the parcel company but we cannot guarantee the hamper will arrive for breakfast time on that day. If you require this gift to be received in time for breakfast, we suggest the gift is delivered on a standard service the day before you require it or by using the AM delivery service. An additional charge is incurred for this service. (We reserve the right to withdraw the AM delivery service during peak delivery times for our courier)
If a hamper is refused delivery, Handmade Hamper Ltd will contact the purchaser to try to resolve the issue. Re-delivery to the same address within 24 hours is free of charge, if the gift has not been returned back to us as the sender. If an alternative address is required a further delivery fee of £6.95 will be incurred. This must be paid for by the purchaser and cannot be covered by Handmade Hamper Ltd.
Saturday and Sunday Deliveries
Saturday and Sunday deliveries are available for £9.95.
Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Shetlands and Isle of Man (Due to MOD restrictions, alcohol over 24% ABV can not be sent overseas. If in doubt please contact us).
Standard delivery to these areas is £14.95.

Handmade Hampers Ltd reserves the right to impose a surcharge retrospectively for any balance arising from the selection of an incorrect delivery zone, e.g. UK Mainland option selected for a Scottish Highlands or UK Offshore destination. If the customer is in any doubt as to the correct delivery option for their chosen destination then it is their responsibility to consult Handmade Hampers Ltd prior to placement of the order.
Handmade Hampers Ltd reserve the right to charge the Customer an additional fee for carriage, handling charges or unusable content in the event of a failed delivery caused by the supply of an incorrect or incomplete delivery address by the Customer.
