Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19). From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.

We are actively monitoring this rapidly evolving situation. We take the health and safety of our people and customers very seriously. We have provided guidance to our people, our customers and communities in which we operate, to help prevent the spread of any infection. We are doing so in line with preventative guidance from PHE.

Due to the evolving situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we can only offer a limited selection of gifts at the moment.   

Our delivery company is working exceptionally hard during these trying times, so please bear with us if your gift is not delivered on the date you requested.  Guaranteed timed services have been withdrawn for the time being.

Every gift box / hamper will be delivered in our protective packaging to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition. Our gift boxes / hampers are made to order by our dedicated team.

We ask our customers to confirm a preferred delivery date.  Every attempt is made from to ensure delivery is made on the requested day, however this is not a guaranteed date.

As we currently use an external delivery company, it is out of our hands if delivery is not made on the preferred date.  We do advise the company of the preferred delivery date, and every effort is made to keep to this date.

We do offer an interactive delivery update using the – contact number for delivery updates – This allows the recipient or sender to receive updates regarding the delivery from the courier. (Re-arrange dates etc) If this gift is a surprise, please do not complete this box.

It is not the responsibility of Handmade-Hampers Ltd to contact the recipient to arrange a date and time for deliveries.  If you have received a ‘sorry we missed you’ card from the delivery company, please liaise directly with Parcelforce to re-arrange a more suitable date for delivery.  Parcelforce Customer Service can be contacted on 0344 800 4466 if required.

Delivery is based on a 24 hour service Monday to Friday. An additional premium is charged for a Saturday delivery or premium delivery services.

Whilst we endeavour to arrange delivery on your preferred date chosen, deliveries to remote areas, Islands, Scottish Highlands or to lower areas such as Devon and Cornwall may incur additional delivery time so please bear this in mind when choosing your preferred date.

Gift hampers containing cheese will be despatched on a 24 hour postal service.  We prefer not to deliver gifts containing cheese on a Monday, due to their perishable nature.  We like to despatch on a 24 hour basis, so the cheese does not sit in a delivery companies warehouse over the weekend, and would like the gift to be received in a perfect state.  But if you do choose to have your cheese gift delivered on a Monday we will honour this request for you.

We will deliver to the address as you enter it and cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect or incomplete. If you are not sure of the address we would recommend you check before proceeding with your order.  An additional postage fee of £6.95 will be applicable if the item is returned due to the address being incorrect.  Unfortunately you will not be entitled to a refund if this is an error on your part.

Please note that delivery dates may be affected by adverse weather conditions.  While every attempt will be made to ensure the gift arrives on the preferred date, sometimes this may not be possible.

Standard Delivery (Excludes Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Isles, Isle of Man & Channel Islands)

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday. This is standard delivery for in stock items.  Handmade-Hampers Ltd are currently using Parcelforce for deliveries.

Hampers and gift boxes: £6.95 per delivery address, Monday to Friday.  Additional services are available at checkout.

Delivery will be attempted at the stated address, however if we are unable to obtain a reply at this address, the gift may be left with a neighbour or taken to a local post office for collection.  A card will be left at the recipients address advising of the gifts location.

We will endeavour to deliver your hamper or gift on the date you have specified.  However, once the item has been despatched by us, we are reliant on the delivery company to keep to the time schedule. Unfortunately , they do sometimes run a little late or as we have recently found, a day early! so please bear with us or contact us at to chase up delivery if you are unable to reach us on 01642 285468. Parcelforce can be contacted on 0344 800 4466 or at, if you wish to track the delivery directly with them.

We can offer delivery notifications and add the purchaser’s email address within this notification to avoid spoiling any surprises with the recipient.  However if you would like us to notify the recipient the gift is on its way please enter their information into the delivery notes.  This is a service provided by Parcelforce and Handmade-Hampers do not call the recipient prior to delivery to make any arrangements.

We request a contact number for the recipient in case we or Parcelforce have a problem finding the address.

We are unable to guarantee breakfast hampers will be delivered on a morning delivery, using the standard delivery service.  Every attempt will be made to request this on your behalf from the parcel company but we cannot guarantee the hamper will arrive for breakfast time on that day.  If you require this gift to be received in time for breakfast, we suggest the gift is delivered on a standard service the day before you require it or by using the AM or Before 9AM delivery service.  An additional charge is incurred for this service.

If a hamper is refused delivery, Handmade Hamper Ltd will contact the purchaser to resolve the issue.  If a re-delivery to the same or an alternative address is required a further delivery fee will be incurred. This must be paid for by the purchaser and cannot be covered by Handmade Hamper Ltd.  Refunds will only be offered if the hamper does not contain perishable items as per our terms and conditions.

Saturday Deliveries

Saturday deliveries are available for £24.95.  This is a £18 surcharge plus the standard £6.95 delivery charge.  This is an all day service and specific AM/PM slots cannot be requested.

Please note if the Saturday delivery charge of £24.95 is not paid upon checkout, the gift will be delivered on the service paid for.

Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Shetlands and Isle of Man  (Due to MOD restrictions, alcohol over 24% ABV can not be sent overseas.  If in doubt please contact us).

Standard delivery to these areas is £21.95.  The additional surcharge for a Saturday delivery will also be charged if a Saturday delivery is requested.  Please contact us via email at or telephone 01642 285468 if you require confirmation of a Highland or Island postcode.  Alternatively you can view the Highland postcode list at

Unfortunately we are no longer able to deliver to the Channel Islands.

Failure to pay the required postage at the time of ordering may result in your order being cancelled or posted with a different parcel courier.  Your parcel may not be delivered by the preferred delivery date you have chosen.  Owing to difficulties guaranteeing delivery on time, Next Day Delivery is not available for deliveries to Northern Ireland or Highland and Island addresses.

Please note that after despatch, any changes to the hamper delivery address may incur additional charges.

We regret that we are not able to accept orders to an address containing a PO Box number.

Handmade Hampers Ltd reserves the right to impose a surcharge retrospectively for any balance arising from the selection of an incorrect delivery zone, e.g. UK Mainland option selected for a Scottish Highlands or UK Offshore destination. If the customer is in any doubt as to the correct delivery option for their chosen destination then it is their responsibility to consult Handmade Hampers Ltd prior to placement of the order.

Handmade Hampers Ltd reserve the right to charge the Customer an additional fee for carriage, handling charges or unusable content in the event of a failed delivery caused by the supply of an incorrect or incomplete delivery address by the Customer.

Some of the items available for purchase contain intoxicating liquor. By placing an order for an alcoholic product, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over.
