Every gift box / hamper will be delivered in our protective packaging to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition. Our gift boxes / hampers are made to order by our dedicated team.
We dispatch all mainland UK gifts on a 24 hour service. (Exceptions may apply to certain delivery locations,)
We package all our cheeses within a thermal envelope with an ice pack to keep the cheese as fresh as possible during transit.
We ask our customers to confirm a preferred delivery date. Every attempt is made from Handmade-Hamper.co.uk to ensure delivery is made on the requested day, however this is not a guaranteed date.
As we currently use an external delivery company, it is out of our hands if delivery is not made on the preferred date. We do advise the company of the preferred delivery date, and every effort is made to keep to this date. Text and email notifications are sent by the courier to the recipient if a contact mobile number is provided, if any delays are expected.
We do offer an interactive delivery update on the delivery day. This notification provides a one hour time slot for the customer. Mobile contact details are requested within our checkout page. Please omit the recipients mobile number if you wish for the gift to remain a surprise.
Our courier DPD are now offering a new service. If the recipient is not home at the time of the delivery. The gift may be taken to a local pick up point, convenient to the recipients home address where collection can be made to suit the recipient. Text notifications and a card left at the property will give further information where and how to collect the gift. Please note, if the gift is not collected it will be returned to us as the sender and a further delivery fee me be applicable if we redeliver it for you.
It is not the responsibility of Handmade-Hampers Ltd to contact the recipient to arrange a date and time for deliveries. If you have received a ‘sorry we missed you’ card from the delivery company, please liaise directly with DPD to re-arrange a more suitable date for delivery.
Delivery charges are available upon the checkout process.
Whilst we endeavour to arrange delivery on your preferred date chosen, deliveries to remote areas, Scottish Highlands, Islands or to lower areas such as Devon and Cornwall may incur additional delivery time so please bear this in mind when choosing your preferred date.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer delivery to the Channel Islands or Ireland.
Please note that delivery dates may be affected by adverse weather conditions. While every attempt will be made to ensure the gift arrives on the preferred date, sometimes this may not be possible.
We will deliver to the address as you enter it and cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect or incomplete. If you are not sure of the address we would recommend you check before proceeding with your order. An additional postage fee of £12.95 will be applicable if the item is returned due to the address being incorrect. This covers the cost of the parcel being returned to us and also a further redelivery attempt. Unfortunately you will not be entitled to a refund if an address error is on your part.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday. This is standard delivery for in stock items. Handmade-Hampers Ltd are currently using DPD for deliveries.
Delivery will be attempted at the stated address, however if we are unable to obtain a reply at this address, the gift may be left with a neighbour, in a safe place, at a safe location shop or taken back to the depot. A card will be left at the recipients address advising of the gifts location and how to contact to rearrange a further delivery attempt.
Delivery will be attempted twice at the recipients address before being returned to us as sender. A calling card will be left at the recipients property if the courier is able to gain access to a letterbox. If the gift is returned to us, a further fee of £12.95 will be incurred to resend the gift to the recipient or to an alternative address. This covers the cost of the parcel being returned to us and also a further redelivery attempt. Handmade Hampers are not responsible for the condition of the gift contents. Please bear in mind that if you order a cheese gift, it is perishable. Whilst we take every effort to keep the gift cool in transit, it will deteriorate in the warmer weather.
If the gift is returned to us, we will make every effort to contact the sender with re-delivery options, if the sender chooses not to respond to us the gift will be destroyed after 30 days.
Please note that after dispatch, any changes to the hamper delivery address may incur additional charges.

We regret that we are not able to accept orders to an address containing a PO Box number.
Handmade Hampers Ltd reserves the right to impose a surcharge retrospectively for any balance arising from the selection of an incorrect delivery zone, e.g. UK Mainland option selected for a Scottish Highlands or UK Offshore destination. If the customer is in any doubt as to the correct delivery option for their chosen destination then it is their responsibility to consult Handmade Hampers Ltd prior to placement of the order.
Handmade Hampers Ltd reserve the right to charge the Customer an additional fee for carriage, handling charges or unusable content in the event of a failed delivery caused by the supply of an incorrect or incomplete delivery address by the Customer.
Some of the items available for purchase contain intoxicating liquor. By placing an order for an alcoholic product, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over.
